I love this. It is exactly the intention of the creativity workshops that I want to conduct. Your explanation of the process is wonderful. I want to create an environment where people can simultaneously explore their creativity and turn to their inner selves. Having done it, I know how incredibly healing it feels, and how empowering. It's wonderful to read the Pink Teacup and feel our alignment. Thank you.
Yes. Great to do. Sometimes I have to close my eyes and draw from feeling. If I put a mark or color On And feel free to respond like a conversation it feels more intuitive and intimate. It’s challenging not to judge it.
Hi Sally, YES to both--I love that feeling of conversation when I'm working on my piece--and I too, have that simultaneous challenge of holding back judgment and allowing the piece to unfold.
Thank you Sarah for sharing this journey. To dive into a spiritual exploration through art is a wonderful practice. Your drawings are evocative, showing an inner life. It has inspired me too, seeing your work, explore through a more purposeful meditative process.
Wonderful practice. It’s difficult to stop the judgemental mind and drop into the subconscious. I currently close my eyes and set my imagination to work. Your idea of using stick figures appeals to me and gives me a way to draw my “pictures”
Yes, letting go of that judgemental mind is key--that's why I think it's so great to create a private art experience where it's about the content we develop for ourselves and we can let go of worrying about who sees it since it's not about being viewed by others. The stick figures are liberating in that same way. So glad it resonated!! <3
I love this idea. Your piece makes me want to explore this practice. I particularly loved this statement: "It’s like a deepening feeling of companionship with life itself." Wow. That is something I want.
YES! That sense of companionship with life and the world is a super big deal to me as well. The spiritual work I do has really given me that, and opened the door to how much more there is to be experienced in that way. The world is so alive in infinite ways...and exploring that in into my art feels important for me as well.

Motivated to head to the art store and get some paper! New impulses needed!
YES to making space for new impulses! <3

I love that Nancy--I hope it's like opening a door to a whole new avenue in to yourself and your inner worlds!
